"I was definitely a little bit of a sexier bride...." said LeAnn, describing her style at her wedding to Her champagne-toned Reem Acra gown was hand beaded with an assortment of pearls ranging in size and shades of white to ivory. The silhouette was a drapey sheath with a join line at the natural waist, allowing for a gathered skirt and revealing slit at one side.
Oh what a difference a decade makes.... LeAnn's style has certainly evolved from this country star's first wedding, wearing classic Vera Wang.
I am not sure if "sexy bride" was quite the right way to go for LeAnn given the contraversial relationship between herself and Cibrian, but, on the other hand, I don't think that sweet and traditional would have been appropriate either.
I would have liked to see her in a deep ivory lace gown. "Lycette" by WTOO would be really great on her body type. Rimes has fabulous shoulders that the sheer lace halter would accentuate beautifully. The open back and fitted torso would give her that sleeker fit that she seems to adore.
Another similar shape and lovely option for LeAnn would have been Watters' "Vanessa." The textured floral detail and sheer cap sleeves add dimension and visual interest without overpowering a small frame.
In my opinion, although the gown was amazing and beautiful, it was not the right choice for her wedding dress. Again, just my opinion. Oh well, congratulations to the new couple...let them eat cake!
