New Gowns Arrive!!

More amazing gowns are making their way into the salon, and this week I was super excited to see that some of the newest Jim Hjelm and Paloma Blanca designs have arrived!!

Jim Hjelm,(like many other designers this season), is all about the sassy fitted, trumpet skirt. This bridal powerhouse never fails to please with his incredible aesthetic and genius designs. These two variations give totally different feels with similar silhouettes.

JH8156 is a beautiful, floral organza trumpet skirt with a pleated silk chiffon draped bodice. The back closure is low and super feminine. There is an outrageously fantastic horse hair bow with crystal accents at the natural waist that gives this romantic design a flirty, cool twist.

Finish this look off with Kendra Scott's "Jeanine" earrings in a soft shade of petal, and Toni Federici's fashion forward "Sunflower" bustled veil, and you have a completed, high end bridal style.

JH8161 is a scrumptious silk satin trumpet gown. There is an embroidered floral bodice with the softest finishing touches ever. A thick ivory satin ribbon is added to the natural waist....giving a perfect option for adding an individual touch, such as a colored ribbon for the reception.

Imagine adding the Serendipity "Andreas" belt in black for an additional textural interest and contrast of color. Crazy adorable!!!

Paloma Blanca's newest line has proven to be a huge hit! The shapes and fabrics are flawless as always, and the addition of texture create a fantastic, fashionable collection.

Style 4213 is a one-shoulder knockout of a gown! Not only is it beautiful, but it is structurally so fantastic that it gives a slender shape, AND the ease to boogie all night long. Seriously. The silk shantung pleats are flattering and smooth, and the pop of floral detail on the shoulder is GORGEOUS! The soft cloud hem gives the appearance of walking on air...what could be better?!?!
Soft, side swept hair with a feathery comb and bird cage veil, like "Wysteria" from Toni Federici would be a great way to complete this unbelievable bridal look.

That's a Wrap!! Check out Details of CMT Television Show Filming!!

Truly amazing! It was such an honor working with Liz Fields this Saturday at her runway show in San Antonio, Texas for her first annual Military Gala, honoring our troops. It was an unbelievable experience to say the least, and the CMT Television crew made it even more exciting!

The wonderful models from Entourage Model and Talent Agency were fantastic, and the makeup artists and hair stylist from Madame Makeup out of San Antonio, Texas were AMAZING!! They helped these already pretty girls transform into catwalk divas and the looks they created paired beautifully with the dresses....and, speaking of dresses....OH, MY, this Liz Fields Spring 2012 collection is rockin' good! I am talking show-stopping, jaw-dropping good. I wish that I could share photos with you, but I am sworn to secrecy until the unveiling at market.

Kimberly Chau was there to capture the magic of the evening, and she was such a soothing addition to the crew. I could not have asked for a more perfect group of photographers to work with. Keep an eye on her blog for show updates and photos.

Quite possibly one of the most gorgeous additions to the evening's ambiance was the emcee, Holly Mills-Gardner. I am proud to call this beauty queen a friend, and assure you that she is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. She rocked a Liz Fields evening gown like a star! ;) Popular blogger, Cathy Hale, was also on site to capture behind the scenes happenings, as well as the attendees' touching stories throughout the night. (also sporting the Kendra Scott jewelry)

The Kendra Scott jewelry, and Toni Federici veils were fabulous accessories to this unbelievable collection of prom, bridesmaids and bridal gowns. The KS pieces are available at the salon with a great discount of 15% for a limited time.

American Idol finalist, Michael Sarver gave an amazing performance for the military audience, and could not have been more gracious to be a part of such a wonderful event. Feedback from our honored guests was an overall feel of "the best night ever." Way to go Liz!!

I am still glowing from the whole experience and cannot wait to share more details as we get them cleared from the production company. A super special thanks goes out to my wonderful friends and team for Serendipity Bridal. Brianne, Michelle, and Sarah were amazing! Jessica and I could not have done it without you guys!!

CMT announced that the series about The Swanderosa Event Venue should be airing early fall. I will pass along more information as it comes our way. I can tell you that the family that runs the events are truly amazing people, and have hearts of gold. They deserve all the best publicity as possible. They have poured their hearts and souls into creating wonderful events on their property and truly care about each person involved. Thank you Swan family for making us feel at home inside of yours.

Lazaro Fall 2011 Collection Trunk Show

This show is the preview of a select few of the Fall 2011 Lazaro gowns (as well as some classics)..quite possibly the coolest collection of dresses ever!! This line is filled with gowns showing rock star flare and wild romance at it's finest. The abundance of textures and detail is jaw-dropping, and the silhouettes will make your honey's mouth water. A great combination of fashion forward design and super flattering fits.
It goes without saying that I was more than in love...rather, infatuated with this collection, so I could not bare to show only a few of the pictures, I had to share them all!

LZ3150 is a strapless silk organza gown with a fantastic, beaded elongated bodice and scrumptious ruffled galore skirt. The beaded belt is placed at the natural waist in a cool neutral shade of champagne to add another touch of WOW. Fabulous!

LZ3152 is a strapless tulle ball gown with an updated twist. The beaded, sheer alencon lace bodice trickles down the skirt from the waist, creating an elongating illusion of floral detail. Adorable!

LZ3153 has just about the BEST-SKIRT-EVER! This masterpiece is called an organza spiral wave ball gown. I just call it flipping fantastic! The bodice is a stunning alencon lace with an embroidered overlay, and a flattering platinum satin ribbon at the natural waist. Too fabulous for words.

LZ3156 is one of Lazaro's va-va-voom pieces. It has the savory feel of vintage with a knock out fit. The ivory lace over champagne charmeuse hugs the curves without being clingy, and the beaded floral appliques create an additional detail of texture. Silk organza flowers fall from the back of the skirt. Sweet AND sassy...I love it.

LZ3157 stole my heart and soul the moment it rounded the corner on the runway at NY Market. This gown IS the definition of cool. This is a silk organza origami gown with a clean, and fitted satin organza bodice with a rockin' beaded sash at the waist. The modified a-line skirt is a genius design of sequins and tulle. Remarkable.

LZ3161 is a dreamy combination of an amazing sheer, jewel encrusted bodice, and a billowy, floral organza a-line skirt with added crystal accents. This dress nails the trend of texture in a classic silhouette, and the corset top is Lazaro at his best! Strikingly beautiful.

LZ3164 is a more tailored style in fantastic silk mikado. This mermaid gown has a super flattering sweetheart neckline and elongated bodice, met with fabulous ruffled floral accents at the skirt. It's a classic streamlined gown with a pop of fun and interest.

LZ3165 received the infamous "ahhhhhhh" among the audience, and rightfully so. It is so unbelievably fun and flirty, and there is no way not to smile at this gown. It's an organza ball gown with a ballerina sweetheart bodice complete with tied spaghetti straps at the shoulder. The beaded cummerbund at the natural waist sits above the ever so beloved pockets at the full skirt. Gotta love those pockets.

LZ3166 is a trumpet gown with tons of Lazaro's signature details. The antique color of the silk faced satin and gold beadwork banded and curved slightly around the dropped waist is a signature look reappearing in every collection...for good reason.

LZ3167...yeah, you might have to be a rock star to wear this gown..and if you are not, you will surely turn into one. This shredded net bridal gown is a work of art. The embroidered bodice is structured enough to hold up this masterpiece of a skirt and still sleek enough to be super flattering. Uber rocker-fabulous.

LZ3169 is a fit and flare gown with a tufted organza skirt and beaded sweetheart bodice. It is so pretty and delicate, but yet with a really stylish vibe. This dress is grand enough to make a statement, but it would not overpower a petite frame. Pretty, pretty princess of a dress.

LZ3159 is a ball gown with an attitude. The fitted sweetheart silk satin bodice is structured and slim to create a contrast of the ball gown skirt. The jeweled detail at the natural waist emphasizes a great shape and creates a royalty feel like no other. Queen bee.

This show is going to be UN-REAL!!! If you have been drooling over these dresses like I have, this is the time and place to view them and take advantage of the trunk show discount! The gowns arrive today and travel to their next destination on Monday, so don't miss it!

Vanessa Minnillo's Wedding Gown

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey married on Friday, July 16th according to US Weekly Magazine. Like many other celebrity brides, she wore a Monique Llullhier gown, and if it proves to be anything like this dress that she wore for her engagement party, it's sure to be a total stunner!

This lace lingerie inspired top is spot on for the hot trends right now in bridal gowns, and perfect for Vanessa's petite frame. A separate top and skirt is an amazing way to create for a celebrity-esk wardrobe change, and killer accessories. Although photos from her actual wedding day have not yet been released, based on her style from these photos from TLC, this stunner would look AMAZING in these versatile pieces by WTOO. And at the amazingly reasonable pricing, it is totally reasonable and affordable to go for two looks!! This is the "Primrose" corset top, with the full, more romantic, "Poppy" skirt, AND, the more sultry, sassy, "Lilli"" skirt. The simple addition of a black sash adds emphasis to the natural waist, and creates a more edgy look. Such an amazing collection of styles!!

Liz Fields Runway Show Details

The closer that we get to the film date, the more amazed I am with this project.

A hugely talented group of makeup and hair stylist have jumped on board to beautify our Entourage models, and create the modern, retro look that we are creating to accompany Liz Field's UNBELIEVABLE Spring 2012 gowns.

Madame Makeup is sending their rock star team to The Swanderosa and donating their services to help create an unforgettable night out brave members of the military. They are not only going to be working with our models, but they will also be applying the makeup for our gracious host, Liz Fields, as well as our beauty queen emcee for the evening, Holly Mills-Gardner.

I wanted to share a bit of what our hair and makeup styling will look like paired with the LF dresses, Kendra Scott jewelry and Toni Federici veils.

I am loving the elegant side chignon styles mixed with the boho chic feel of braids. It is a great way to withhold a fab 'do in the humid summer temps as well as look super cool.

The makeup style for the runway is going to be a more updated version of the typical retro look. Strong, winged eyes will be paired with a more subdued version of the bright red lip. These girls are going to be smokin hot!

Another Amazing Paloma Blanca Gown Arrives!

Another stunner hits the salon floor this week! Paloma Blanca style 4214 arrived, and it's a show stopper!

This strapless sweetheart gown is fantastic from head to toe! First of all, the fit of the bodice is unbelievable, and the beaded lace is subtle yet spectacular. What sets this gown apart is that that the sweetness of the fabric and lace detail is met with a curvy, slightly fitted silhouette...creating a classic and sassy style. The skirt is a surprisingly light, super soft organza with scattered alencon, beaded appliques gently trickling down from the bodice. The hem is left clean to create an elongating and lengthening look, allowing movement and ease for all of the dancing the night has to bring. Love, love, love it!

A fingertip length mantilla would be amazing paired with this gown. Laura Jayne style "Priscilla" is a great shape with lace detail beginning at the shoulders, allowing for the neckline to stay open for any hairstyle, necklace or fantastic earrings to be added without taking away from the bride's pretty face. These Kendra Scott dazzlers should do the trick!

The beautiful, clean line of the bodice allows for a personal touch to be added with either color, texture or both. The "Ryder" Belt from Serendipity's fantastic line would be unbelievable with this gown. I love the idea of adding this extra touch of unfussy sparkle, while synching in a tiny waist. What could be better?!
