Matching

It's very important to understand the "vibe" of your wedding dress. This will help you when it comes to accessorizing your gown. Ask yourself, is my dress modern? vintage? classic? destination? or extremely formal? Recently we saw a bride in an extremely modern dress with extremely vintage earrings. It was all wrong. Be sure to keep the look consistent from your dress to your earrings, other jewelry and veil.

If you need help accessorizing your gown please come into Serendipity and let one of our consultants help you. We have a great selection of beautiful jewelry from all over. Our veil selection is beautiful as well! We look forward to helping you accessorize soon!

Happy Shopping!

Real Bride, Tina Jaso!

Serendipity is happy to share with you our bride Tina Jaso. Below are pictures and an interview we had with Tina about her shopping experience at Serendipity and most importantly her big day!

How and when did you meet your fiance?

We met in 1996. We were high school sweethearts. After graduating, Rick left to join the Marines while I pursued a career in real estate. After 11 long years we reunited…and here we are today!

How long have you two been together?
Since our “reunion” we’ve been together for a year and a half. Altogether, we celebrated about 4 years of dating before we finally tied the knot.

How did he propose?
During a cruise touring the Eastern Caribbean, Rick proposed to me while we were standing in the crystal clear waters in Grand Turk. It was beautiful.

What dress did you get from Serendipity?

Watters: Wtoo collection, style “Tilly”. A white strapless Silky Taffeta dress with folded neckline, draped midriff and full skirt, empire accentuated with beaded motif (which I had removed).

How was your shopping experience at Serendipity and who was your consultant?
My overall experience was pure enjoyment. Taylor was my consultant. After trying on a handful of dresses, I was ready to move on to the next boutique when Taylor insisted that I try on a gown that she found. Needless to say, it was the dress I chose and my hunting was over. On top of that, Taylor advised me that I could save money by purchasing my gown during a trunk show. She made sure that I was nothing short of satisfied! I had my alterations done with Noori, who was recommended by Serendipity. Noori was a pleasure to work with. She went above and beyond my expectations. My dress fit as though it was custom designed to my specifications. Thank you, Serendipity, for helping make me feel like a princess on my wedding day!

Now that you are married what is a piece of advice you would give to future brides?
Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff. Enjoy the planning and preparation rather than make a job out of it. In the end, your day will be beautiful no matter what. Rain or shine.

What are you and your husband up to now?
Rick is working overseas while I continue focusing on real estate here in Austin. In the meantime, we are relishing the possibility of growing our family in the near future!

What was the most memorable thing about your wedding day?

Family. It was a delight to see our family and friends come together with such high spirits. The dancing, the toasts, the laughter…our wedding day provided us all with magical moments and memories that will never be forgotten.

Congratulations again Tina, you were a beautiful bride! Thank you for letting Serendipity be apart of your wedding planning experience!
