Behind the Scenes at Watters and WTOO, Spring 2012

Ahhh, the infamous Watters runway show.... Always one of the most anticipated collections of the season. This bridal superstar is consistently at the top of the game, and as always, debuted an incredible Spring 2012 line at the Fall Bridal Market.

These designs manage to always be a step ahead of the fashion trends, and yet, remain timeless. This line was no different. We viewed amazing glitz countered by romantic lace and layered chiffons. I love sharing these candid action images, because it showcases the movement and presence that each of these gowns possess. Enjoy!

WATTERS BRIDAL

"Vivien" is such a fantastic mix of elegant and modern. The jagged hemline on this full skirt is a grand and formal take on the trend.

Rightfully named, "Diana", this princess-esk gown is super chic and elegant. The lace illusion is very delicate and feminine. A perfect touch.

The way that this gown moves is beyond breath taking. The delicate fabric and strategic layers of the organza skirt are really amazing. "Norma" was an "ahhhh" moment for me.

The "Loren" top and "Sabrina" skirt paired together create a sexy and sophisticated look that I adore. This beautiful corset top, would be amazing with a shorter skirt for your "getaway" look.

"Greta" is a beautiful lace design with the heavily desired capped sleeve. The proportion of this scalloped lace sleeve is spot on, and the elegant detail of the beaded belt is a super stylish addition.

WTOO BRIDAL

"Emerson" is the glam gown for the modern bride. The pattern of the sparkle creates a super flattering and lengthening shape.

"Oriana" is a sensational ball gown filled with flirty and sweet details throughout. The soft straps at the textured bodice and floral appliques trailing down the nectar hued gown are nothing less than remarkable.

"Camden" is an uber romantic lace halter gown with a fitted shape and blush obi sash. This is a story book image of the beautiful blushing bride.

As always, Watters loves to introduce a fantastic new color to bridal, and this gorgeous WTOO gown, "Dove", in shown in dramatic steel has stolen the show!! Love it!!

I love, love, love this neckline!! The twisted knot is so interesting and delicate, and the fit of this gown is impeccable. The floral and crystal belt adds such a soft touch, and great balance. "Cole" is one of my favorites!

"Camilla" is a classic, super flattering shape, with an unbelievable mix of pleating and rosette design shown in a rich shade of champagne.

"Bristol" is at the at the top of my list! The combination of exposed boning in the corset top and heavy lace appliques trailed off to the hemline of the slightly fitted skirt are magnificent! Check out the little girl in the background...she agrees, it's jaw-dropping! ;)

Jim Hjelm Blush Spring 2012 Sneak Peek!

I can sum it up in two words...IN LOVE...with the Spring 2012 Jim Hjelm Blush collection that is. Hayley Paige, formally with Melissa Sweet, is now designing for this unbelievable line of gowns, and she has perfected a look for the flirty and innovative bride. Pure genius!

There was something so magical about the entire line of these gowns, that I could not wipe the smile off of my face... even hours after the show. These dresses are vibrant, young and super sassy. The silhouettes are flattering and sleek, and the fabrics are light and airy. Fantastic for outdoor, southern weddings!!

I will be sharing the full line of fashion pictures from this collection soon, but in the meantime, I could not wait another second to reveal my favorites! Enjoy!!

Primrose is an organza, and tulle ball gown that seems to literally float on air. The sweetheart corset lined lace bodice is ultra feminine, with a hint of sexy. Pretty perfection!!

Now, this gown is a masterpiece...Camellia is the epitome of fashion innovation. The organza and tulle illusion overskirt is adorable AND removable!! This fantastic gown is a fashion maven's dream come true. A perfect opportunity to borrow the celebrity trend of wearing two looks, without changing gowns. The slim sheen lace gown by itself is a show stopper, with delicate dual straps flattering the low, open back and gorgeous neckline. Now add the overlay skirt....icing on the cake!! The girly bow combined with cascading ruffles trailing the skirt is a breath of fresh air. Hands down......one of my top favorites.

Spring 2012 Bridal Fashion.... New York Marketing Recap

Fashion is forever evolving, and although bridal trends are not as quick to change as ready-to-wear, we are seeing a slight shift in styles this season at New York Bridal Market. It was an inspirational experience to say the very least.

Spring 2012 is all about refined glamour. It's Prima Ballerina meets Marilyn Monroe, and I cannot get enough!! The feminine silhouettes and dreamy fabrics were combined to create a beautiful vision of whimsy AND wow.

Bridesmaids dresses followed the "fashionable" suit quite nicely. We viewed everything from adorable prints in lighter fabrics, to amazing lace overlays. The were no frumpy fits to be found....in fact, pay attention to your gams ladies, because these hemlines are certainly shorter than seasons' past. Designers have also made it much easier to allow your bridal party to choose their own neckline and silhouette, while remaining in the same fabric and color scheme. Some collections were even shown like this on the runway.

Veils and accessories also received a fashion facelift. Toni Federici debuted some unbelievable crystal embellished veils and introduced variations of the uber popular "tucked" veil. Blushers are big again, but birdcage veils have flown the coupe. We are really excited to unveil the Spring 2012 Serendipity Bridal Belt collection later this month as well. Our motto this season is "Go big, or go home...." We bring in new skinnier widths, more sparkle, color and the most beautiful, handmade silk flowers that you can imagine. So flipping excited about this line!!

Another refreshing observation of this trip, is that each designer is offering different interpretations and visions of what they would like to see in Spring of 2012. This is such a delight for me as a buyer for Serendipity Bridal, because we continue and strive to offer a large number of designers for our brides to choose from......so there is a special look for each of our cherished clients.

Watters bridesmaids continue to stay a step ahead, and introduce a new cotton silk in an adorable print, as well as feature numerous styles within the same color and fabric.

Marisa unveils the newest antique lace pattern, and subtle, sophisticated horsehair trim hemlines.

WTOO Bridal takes chic to a new level with lace, exposed corset boning, and textured tops. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Watters Bridal does not disappoint with these innovative and romantic designs for the classic bride.

Did Seth Rogen's Wife Wear a Serendipity Belt??!

Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller tied the night over the weekend, and although we did not have the pleasure of styling the bride....it appears that she has GREAT taste! ;) Her strapless ball gown is perfectly accessorized by a beaded belt that is very similiar to our coveted "Ryder" from the latest collection of Serendipity belts.
