Fall Trends for Bridesmaids

Ladies rejoice: the days of frumpy, overly frilly bridesmaids are over. Bridal parties are as stylish and chic as ever, and it gets more and more exciting to see what our designers have in store each season. Jim Hjelm brought it this season in a big way with their Fall 2012 line. 

Color palettes have been extended, silhouettes have been perfected and trends are not only followed; they are jump started with these adorable numbers...

Peplums are perfectly precious for fall, and this sophisticated style has translates flawlessly from a wedding wear to just about any dressy occasion. In other words, YES, these dresses can and should be worn again. Jim Hjelm Occassions offered two variations of this look; one with an asymmetric ruffle and the other trimmed in lace. Both are beyond adorable.

Camila Alves Wedding Dress Photos Revealed

Another celeb wedding = another People Magazine Cover.

Matthew and Camila's big day now graces the glossy pages of People, and I have to say that they look smashing!!

The couple initially stole my heart when they opted for a backyard ceremony in my stomping grounds of Austin, but now to hear the details of Camila's wedding designer....I am a more than just a little smitten. She didn't chose a big wig to create her gown based on their vision; she chose a professional that she has known since childhood. Check out her quote to People.com. “Ducarmo has been making wedding dresses for her entire life,” says Alves, who has known the designer since she was a young girl growing up in Brazil. “I guess you can say she has been planning this design for over 20 years.”

Celebrity Wedding Season!

Love is in the air, and for two Austin celebrities, it was their time to tie the night...one smack dab in his backyard!

Congrats goes out to Matthew McConaughey and his beautiful bride, Camila Alves who married on Saturday evening at their Austin home. According to People.com, McConaughey looked dapper in his three piece black Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo, while his gorgeous gal looked elegant in Stuart Weitzman heels and a gown custom created by her favorite Brazilian designer. While we are used to seeing this Hollywood hunk around town in sweaty shorts and shirtless; it is great to hear that he cleaned up for the occasion...and I have no doubt that Camilla looked breath taking!

Drew Barrymore and Arie Kopelman wed in Montecito, CA, surrounded by celebrity guests on June 2nd. Her Chanel gown has been all the buzz....Designer, Karl Lagerfield has been quoted stating "she looked perfect" to several media outlets, while other members of the press question her decision of styling. Personally,  not my taste, but Barrymore has always been one to have a particular aesthetic and I feel that she stayed true to herself, so good for her! I will say that the high neckline brought all of the focus up to her pretty face, and the addition of the black sash proved that she is proud of her pregos bump....as well she should be.

Her bridal gown is  WTOO "Mimi" with the addition of Grayson Elise "Andreas" belt. She wore the flower in the back for the ceremony and displayed it in front for the reception. Fabulous...One of my most adorable brides ever, and it was a honor to work with her for her special day!! 

Let's Dress Miley!

Congrats to another young starlet set to take the plunge!! Miley Cyrus's recent engagement is music to my ears...no, not because I am a hopeless romantic, but simply for the fact that I cannot wait to see what her wedding wardrobe might consist of. This young vixen is not afraid of taking risks and is known to be a little bit of a wildcard when it comes to fashion.

I went back and forth with what designer suits this singer.....after all, her style has evolved tremendously, and I think that she is still ultimately searching for her signature look....however, I could not be more pleased with my final decision...(if I do say so myself) :)

Young and fresh, Sarah Seven offers the romantic boho vibe, dabbled with a little daring that Miley seems to love.

Favorite Summer Palette

One of my favorite things about summer weddings has to be the vibrant color palettes. One of my top picks is coral and turquoise. Such a fabulous way to brighten photos, bring cheer and enhance sunkissed skin.

Mighty Minis Rule the Red Carpet

It was a leggy night on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards. Color blocking, peplums and short skirts  were trends that almost every diva dabbled in.

Along with fashion comes the art of hair and makeup. These were my two favorite mug shots from last night.  For me, Charlize Theron nailed it for a fresh summer look with this bronzy palette.

I love this modern bun as an up to option in a warmer climate. Low slung veils will stay put and off the shoulders to show off the popular lace sleeves that are the big thing in bridal fashion this summer.
